Dr. Mohammad Mustafa Khan, is the Medical Director of Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC). Dr. Khan plays an important role in supporting ICLDC's clinical team to deliver exceptional care while ensuring that ICLDC remains the gold-standard facility for management of diabetes and endocrinology in the region.
With over 15 years of experience in the specialty, Dr. Khan previously worked as a Senior Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology in the United Kingdom where he was also the clinical lead for insulin pump and transition diabetes services. He has wide and varied experience in the field of endocrinology with specialist expertise in insulin pump therapy, thyroid and pituitary disorders and in advanced diabetes technologies including hybrid closed loop pumps and managing complex diabetes. Dr. Khan has several qualifications including a MSc from Cardiff University and a postgraduate award from Warwick University, United Kingdom. He also received his higher specialist training in endocrinology in the East of England region which included working at the prestigious Institute of Metabolic Sciences at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.
Dr. Khan is a fellow of the Royal college of Physicians of London and Edinburgh and an active member of various international specialist societies. As a Royal College Tutor in Medicine in UK, Dr. Khan has been extensively involved in teaching and training in endocrinology and internal medicine and holds a postgraduate qualification in medical education from Cambridge University. He is also an MRCP PACES examiner.
