Biography
Somaya AlDehbi has eleven years of experience as a clinical dietician.
She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Dietetics and Nutritional Sciences from the UAE University, Al Ain, in 2014. Somaya has been involved in various public health campaigns and has contributed to weight management programs and diabetes education.
Prior to joining Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, Somaya worked as a Senior Dietician at the Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center (ADSCC/Yas Clinic) and as a Clinical Dietician at Mediclinic, Al Ain.
Scope of Services
Somaya's scope of practice includes diabetes nutrition management (type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes), comorbidities nutrition management (hypertension and hyperlipidemia), paediatric and adult weight management, and gastrointestinal disorders diet management.
Field of expertise
Her field of expertise covers diabetes medical nutrition therapy, oncology and bone marrow transplant medical nutrition therapy, gastrointestinal disorders diet management, neurological disorders diet management, weight management, and public health awareness through lectures and presentations.
