Biography
Dr. Emad George is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist at Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC).
Dr. Emad joined ICLDC in 2015 after 16 years as a Consultant Physician with a specialist interest in Diabetes & Endocrinology in the UK. He graduated from the University of Cambridge where he also obtained his MD for research into hypoglycaemia unawareness.
He has a longstanding interest in Medical Education with a number of roles in the UK including being an Associate Postgraduate Dean in the East of England. He also led ICLDC's medical educational activities from 2015 to 2020 following which he was appointed as the Centre’s Medical Director, a role he held until March 2023 before choosing to return to full-time consultant duties.
Dr. Emad is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators in the UK and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London, UK.
