Biography
Dr. Mohammed Sajid Kalathil completed his medical education in his native India and then embarked on a career in the UK, where he trained and worked in various multispecialty hospitals across the country.
As a consultant for nearly 5 years, Dr. Sajid was the department lead for diabetes and endocrinology at South Tyneside Hospital NHS Trust-Newcastle. During his tenure there, he developed pathways, protocols and guidelines within the hospital on management of various diabetes and endocrine conditions. He has extensive experience in managing diabetes including antenatal diabetes and various endocrine conditions involving thyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands.
He is an experienced teacher and has trained many undergraduate and post graduate students. He is also an examiner for MRCP exams conducted by The Royal College of Physicians.
He has authored text book chapters and published articles in peer reviewed journals relating to diabetes and endocrinology.
Dr. Sajid joined ICLDC in March 2018.
