The course is held in partnership with Imperial College London and includes case seminars and clinical training on chronic disease self-management education, applied biological and behavioural sciences, principles of teaching and learning and best practice management of diabetes. Studies will be complemented with cases of clinical attachment with ICLDC physicians, dietitians and educators. This will equip students to provide competent diabetes related clinical care.
It is open to nurses, dietitians, pharmacists and other healthcare workers with a current licence to practice. Graduates will be eligible to be licenced as Health Educators by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH).
